It is quite rare these days to come across a contractor who is both honest and reliable. When you do, your belief in good people is re-invigorated. Andrew Doyle is one such character.
We contacted Andrew to give us a quote to remove some 70 cubic metres of soil from a site which has very difficult access. Andrew wasn’t the first one we contacted. We had about 4 other contractors to come and give us a quote, when it came time to do the work there were always excuses or they didn’t answer our calls. However, Andrew was different. He came to site and gave a competitive quote. He also provided us with ideas on how we could reduce the cost overall. This was a breadth of fresh air.
Andrew’s role was to move the soil from the back to the front of the house where someone else would take it away. However, the other contractor could not be contacted. Andrew then suggested that he could remove the soil for approximately the same cost. Within a day he rang back and had found a solution. The job was to be started on a Monday and Andrew rang us on the Sunday before. I thought he was calling to say that something had happened and the job couldn’t be completed. To my surprise, he actually rang to say that despite a hiccup with the place where the soil was going, he had managed to fix the problem and that the job would start as planned. I cannot commend Andrew and his crew highly enough. Not only is Jim’s Digging very reliable, but Andrew is a very honest person –a rare trait these days. I have no hesitation in recommending Jim’s Digging – Dee Why and Andrew Doyle and his crew to anyone who is looking to move soil. I cannot rate them highly enough.
Ryan was the best tradie I’ve had yet. Had a lot of tradies as doing renovations. He was awesome – on time, friendly, kicked arse doing an excellent job. He deserves a pay rise.
