Ben Molloy – Owner Operator, Jim’s Diggers (Patterson Lakes)
Ben Molloy is the Owner Operator of Jim’s Diggers Patterson Lakes, proudly servicing Patterson Lakes, the Mornington Peninsula, and the South East suburbs of Melbourne. Having lived on the Mornington Peninsula his entire life, Ben has strong local knowledge and a genuine understanding of the area, soil types, and customer needs.
Ben began his journey with Jim’s Diggers working alongside the previous owner before taking over the business in November 2025. With over 20 years of experience in the garden maintenance and soft landscaping industry, he brings extensive hands-on knowledge in turf, site preparation, and outdoor transformations.
Specialising in tight access excavation, Ben operates a 1.2-tonne excavator and mini dumper, allowing access to areas many larger machines simply can’t reach. This makes Jim’s Diggers Patterson Lakes an ideal choice for backyards, narrow pathways, and restricted sites. Ben also enjoys turf preparation and installation, delivering high-quality instant lawn results with a clean, level finish.
While tight access work and turf installation are key focus areas, Ben has experience across a wide range of excavation and landscaping services. He regularly uses compact machinery but, as part of the Jim’s Diggers network, has access to a wide range of additional equipment and qualified contractors for larger or more complex jobs.
Ben holds a Certificate III in Parks and Gardens, along with an excavator licence, White Card, Working With Children Check, and Elevated Work Platform certification. His qualifications, combined with years of practical experience, ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
